Climb to Purple WN8: Damage Farming Patterns

Reach purple WN8 by playing for tempo: safe early assist, mid-game map control, and late-game damage clean-up. Use predictable routes, conserve HP, and pick tank archetypes that let you flex to farm both damage and assisted damage safely.

Core Rules for Purple WN8

  • Play tiers 7–9 for favorable matchmaking and reliable targets; avoid being bottom tier repeatedly.
  • Open with safe vision or tracking angles instead of blind pushes; assisted damage is zero-risk income.
  • Preserve 50%+ HP to convert endgame: trading late yields more damage with less return fire.
  • Pre-aim common crossings; take first-shot opportunities that do not cost HP or position.
  • Rotate before your flank collapses—arriving early beats farming late cleanup scraps.

Positioning Templates by Map Type

Open / Vision Maps

Take early bushes with an exit, proxy spot heavies, and farm tracking on ridge contests. Bail after two clips or salvos to avoid counter-light pushes.

Convert mid-game by mirroring the winning flank and farming retreating tanks.

City / Brawling

Anchor a corner with side-scrape, then rotate to crossfires instead of brawling frontally. Track enemies on peeks so allies farm your assist.

Late game: swing wide for rear shots; avoid trading into full-HP heavies.

Corridor / Mixed

Open with one safe shot, then shift to the secondary lane to create crossfire. Keep hard cover for arty and counter-push windows.

Track first, damage second to stack assist before enemies repair.

Shot Timing & Damage Tempo

  • Always ask: "Can I shoot without losing HP or position?" If not, hold fire and wait for a better window.
  • Pre-aim rotations and hull-backs—free damage happens when opponents cross dead zones.
  • Track-then-damage: shoot the drive wheel at a shallow angle; follow up while they are locked.
  • Respect reload parity: peek only when your gun is up and the opponent is on reload or distracted.
  • Farm low-risk targets first (isolated, side-on, burning) before challenging full-HP heavies.

Assisted Damage Combos

Assisted damage scales your WN8 without exposing your HP. Stack spotting and tracking by holding angles where allies can safely shoot your targets.

Spot → Track → Farm

Light or medium spots from a bush, fires into track wheel, allies finish. Re-track if they repair. You gain both spot and track assist.

Proxy + Crossfire

Hold a tight corner to proxy spot heavies while allies sit in safe crossfire. Track on their peek; ping targets to ensure focus fire.

  • Track your HP—if below 50%, switch to pure support/assist until you can clean up.
  • After each match, note one missed shot or rotation; adjust next game.
